VOLUNTEERS

If you would like to make a quilt or quilts for this ministry, please note the following guidelines. Also, please email us at: info@sewn-n-love.org to tell us of your intentions. Thank you for joining with us in this ministry.

1. Finished quilt size should be 48" x 60" for childrens' quilts; 50" x 64" or 50" x 72" for treatment room lap quilts or other adult quilts.

2. Please use only new, washable, 100% cotton fabric.

3. All fabric must be pre-washed.

4. Although you may use cotton, polyester, or blended batting; 80% cotton and 20% polyester is an ideal weigh, washes well, and withstands multiple washings.

5. Please quilt or tie with 100% cotton products (pearl cotton, cotton yarn, cotton embroidery floss or thread). If tufting with yarn or floss, the finished length of tails must be no longer than 3/4".

6. Quilts should not have embellishments such as charms or buttons.

7. Please use 100% cotton or flannel backing. Our goal is to provide warmth and comfort to the receipient.

8. Please launder quilts after completion.

9. Please sign the back of the quilt with a permanent marker. Include the name of the quilt maker, name of the quilt pattern, and the date completed. We will afix a Sewn-N-Love label on the back of each quilt.

10. Quilts, especially for children, should be bright and cheerful.

11. Quilts must be durable as most will be washed many times.

12. Please send completed quilts to Sewn-N-Love; 1031 Franklin Road; Gallatin TN 37066 or drop off at a location shown below.
